WAM readers, you’ll love this interview with gorgeous new mum Stacey Roberts, the brains behind the Veggie Mama blog.

Veggie Mama is perfect for vegetarians wanting delicious recipes or for those wanting to cook up a storm to impress their vegetarian in laws (like me).

Here’s the interview:

1. In a nutshell what’s your blog about?

Veggie food, being more eco-conscious, and navigating the complicated new-motherhood path.

2.     Do you find being a mum and blogger tricky?  How do you manage your time?

Yes, I do at times. Especially now there is a whole new world to deal with in regards to PR pitches and things - it seems to take up much more of my time! I blog when the baby is asleep, and try to write a few posts at a time... although that doesn't always work out like I intend! I have written an entire post one-handed before, while nursing Veggie Baby with the other. I don't really manage my time, I work around whatever the baby is doing.

3.     What’s your favourite thing about being a mum?

My kid makes me laugh every single day.

4.     What’s your favourite thing about being a blogger?

Definitely the community. I have made so many new friends and I value them all. An added bonus I did not see coming!

5.     At WAM, we’ve started the Finer Things Project, what’s your favourite little luxury and why?

A hot bath with a book and scented candles. A little escape, a little indulgence, a little recharger.

Finish these sentences:

6.     All I want for Christmas is… an iPad!

7.     At the moment I’m reading… Decision Points by George W. Bush, Diana, Her True Story by Andrew Morton, and about the last 8 O Magazines.

8. What is your favourite recipe?

I don't really have a favourite, I love experimenting.

9. Tell us about an interesting blog post of yours:

I do love the post I just wrote about the media trying to make new mums feel inferior to Miranda Kerr.

Veggie Mama is a Queensland based Journalism lecturer by day and insatiable foodie by night.
